failing at coding
in which elizabeth on whim pours 5 hours down the drain and overheats in her bedroom
I don't really want to know how long I've been working on this stupid whim project, but finally I have a workable format that I can potentialy write in. My hope is that this could, in theory, replace Twitter/instagram compulsions for me in the future, and also involve me in the sides of the internet that aren't as strangled by really intelligent and streamlined algorithms. The best way to avoid that is having truly dumb code and a stupidly simple concept. I also think Substack is kind of a pain, especially if you want to pretend at all like you're "writing for you" rather than just some ego trip where people "subscribe" to you, this feels more like a diary I left open somewhere rather than something I'm creating in the pursuit of content generation
What happens to Gen-Z digital footprint after we die? How much data will I amass over the span of my lifetime, and does anybody but me pay attention to it?
- things i'm interested in right now that aren't about productivity or content:
- learning to surf
- falling in love
- smelling a brand new smell i've never smelt before
- traveling to australia, or winning some sort of artist's residency in a rickety house somewhere far away
- taking longer walks in newer places in hotter heat. I've learned I actually like the heat
- coding to an audience of no-one!
